Yes so shocking. Such a tragic loss at such a young age of 52. A brilliant actress who always seemed such a lovely person when being interviewed. R.I.P.

Far too young to go. She was a very good actress. RIP.

As if this year wasn't bad enough it's now working it's way through the far too young and incredibly talented acting fraternity?
Can't believe it.

Awful news. She was an absolutely magnetic actress and at the top of her game, and came across as a lovely person in interviews and more recently, during Covid, with the NHS fundraising campaign with her husband.

A devastating loss. A wonderful actress and always seemed to be a lovely, fun person. Feel very sad about her and for her family tonight.

Very sad news. Devastating for her family. First struck by her talent many moons ago when she was Nina in the NT Seagull with Judi Dench and Bill Nighy, and enjoyed her subsequent performances there. RIP

Just the saddest news. A truly wonderful actress, one of the very best.
Everyone I know who has worked with her said she was just the nicest, funniest person. May she rest in peace.

What sad news. I only saw her in The Deep Blue Sea and she was outstanding in that. Truly a phenomenal actress. Lots of love to her family.

First struck by her talent many moons ago when she was Nina in the NT Seagull with Judi Dench and Bill Nighy That looks like a great production. Actually it looks like an RSC production from that era but transplanted into the NT. I was living overseas at the time so sadly missed it. I think I first saw her in 2001 in the Almeida "Platonov" while they were based in that railway shed at Kings Cross. Then she was in Uncle Vanya/Twelfth Night with Simon Russell-Beale. Many good parts subsequently, I remember particularly Rosmersholm, Medea ... a great loss.
