Inspired by BurlyBear’s SKIP thread just wondering which musicals you have on repeat at the moment? For me the last couple of months have brought Fun Home (underrated) The Last Five Years (appreciating the structure and storytelling) Love Never Dies (I’m a sucker for an extra melodrama and some good ‘old fashioned’ voices Musing how we rarely hear legit soprano recently over belting as loudly as you can) What have you been listening to? Your go to lockdown comfort blankets?

Hamilton, Tina (Adrienne Warren's voice is just stunning) and the soundtrack to the film version of The Prom.
All very much comfort listening!

My own Spotify playlist of every song I love from every show I've seen (and movie soundtracks). 117 hours of awesomeness 😍

Lately discovered the musical Giant by Lachiusa and there's a section at the end of the song The Desert that I can't stop listening to, it's just so gorgeous (the rest of the score is great too).

Sounds interesting I’ll check it out It's a very sweeping score, if you enjoy shows like Bridges of Madison County and its ilk then you'll probably enjoy this. I've not listened to much else by Lachiusa but he's apparently pretty marmite. This show is supposed to be his most melodic though so it's probably a good place to start!

I have been listening to Giant a bit after I saw it recommended on Instagram I can recommend a bit more Lachiusa if you like what you hear - See What I Wanna See, The Wild Party, and Marie Christine are my favourites, though I find I have to be in particular ‘moods’ for them...

Thanks! I definitely plan on moving onto his other works once I've had my fill of Giant. I also came across his musical Rain but unfortunately there's only show clips, no cast recording yet.
