Did anyone see the production of Daddy Long Legs the Musical shown on Stream.theatre last week? It was filmed in Ireland in 2017. I was so impressed. The musical's come a long way since I saw it at St. James' in London in 2012. The two leads in this production, Roisin Sullivan and Eoin Cannon were absolutely amazing. I didn't know of either before last week but am now a big fan of both. Eoin particularly was so much better than the Jervis I saw in London, and last weekend I bought the American soundtrack from 2015 and the Jervis on that is also not a patch - maybe I just prefer baritones, I don't know. Anyway, hats off to everyone involved in the Irish production. The staging, filming and performances were all spot on and I so glad I got the opportunity to see it, years later. Did anyone else catch it?

Slightly hidden - key words slime tutorial !?! I'll be viewing it over Easter. I fell in love with this joyous uplifting musical at the Barn Theatre, Cirencester, in 2019 and returned for a second visit all the way from Kent.

I need to see this show in context - the original recording is so tinny!

I need to see this show in context - the original recording is so tinny! I bought the soundtrack CD after I saw the show and was disappointed. I've started to watch the online version and it's just as wonderful as I remember it at The Barn. Try that.

I've started to watch the online version and it's just as wonderful as I remember it at The Barn. Try that. The online version is the 2015 production with Megen McGinnis and Adam Halpin. It was a free live stream and is followed by a Q&A session. Highly recommended. If the Irish production gets a future live staging I shall be there on Opening Night !

I saw the production at the Barn in Cirencester in 2019 (?) And whilst the production was very pretty, the musical itself felt like one song repeated out to more than 2 hours...

I like the show, but ha. Have you seen the 1955 film adaptation with Fred Astaire and Leslie Caron? stagebyte , I think Love From Judy is a separate, older musical adaptation of the same book. The 2015 New York streamed version is also available on BroadwayHD, Amazon Prime and possibly elsewhere.
