Loved it. Huge fun, daft but stylish and yes… THE FROCKS! Nice to see the original Jamie as the shop owner. John McCrea… I recognised his voice immediately even under all that slap and a wig. What about the garbage truck dress and the moth cacoon dress- Amazing! |

I enjoyed it, and thought the cast did a great job. However, at the end of the film, I was thinking that it didn’t really need to be made - Cruella is not a likeable character (which makes a great villain), and does not need to be shown as being more human. Some parts, like Anita being so close in age to Cruella jarred because of my memories of 101 Dalmatians. I also thought Mark Strong was wasted in a part so small. I thought she knew her from school? (I haven't seen the new film yet though, so that's based on the book and/or the animated film!) |
