Much as I admire ambition, this seems to hark back to mega flops of the past.
The few lyrics feel flaccid and dull. The music derivative.
Oh dear

I think I saw a cast recording of this on Instagram - Carrie Hope Fletcher and Eva Noblezada was involved.
It is giving me major Avatar vibes.

Anyone else see this tonight ? Started 30 minutes late and was the first show in 2021 I just couldn't get into. Found the first half hour dull the storyline mega slow and most musical numbers instantly forgettable. I had a train to Cornwall booked and left before the end without regret.

Sorry to hear that Paul - I listened to the cast recording earlier this week and have to say I thought it was a tuneless mess. How that got that group of world class vocalists on board I'll never know! A shame but I'll definitely be steering clear now ☹

I was there last night too, and went in with somewhat low expectations but really enjoyed it. It’s not a perfect show, and it takes a little bit to get started but the final effect was masterful, clearly made by people who understand and love musicals.
I got chills from the music at multiple points, and all the technical elements came together so beautifully. The lighting is so well done, and there’s a moment at the end of the second act which had me in awe.
The choreography is also incredible to watch, using repeated motifs to represent these two tribes in trade, argument and battle.
Plus, of course, the cast is immensely talented (Emily Bautista and Shem Omari James are standouts and it’s a joy to hear Kayleigh McKnight belting up a storm.)
All in all, it’s a solid show, and much better than most of what’s on the West End right now.

Code LEGEND reduces tickets to £19.50, which is less than half price for some price bands. Cheaper than putting the heating on!
