Has anyone watched this? I found it really interesting and liked the juxtaposition of the homeless with million pound pent houses. Ann (lovely) is brilliantly full of common sense. Tim (hot) what an interesting character, a self made property developer who sits on the board of a homeless charity. the city has changed beyond anything. a very dark city now with shadows from the tall buildings, and the red brick buildings swamped. Very few green areas now, but......

Yes i watched the whole series, Manchester has changed beyond belief. It is astounding to see thr quote that its population will double in 5 years and i think 119 tower blocks being built. A great series though.

The high rise buildings are being built in clusters in different corners of the city centre and not all in one area. It’s never going to look like downtown Manhattan or Chicago. The plots used are usually derelict or have very unremarkable buildings on them, and the red brick buildings are still very much in evidence. |
