I've just finished reading this, which I enjoyed and recommend to anyone who's missing out on theatre. I found it a bit fragmentary and impressionistic at first but soon got into the flow and there are interesting sections covering nearly 50 years of London theatre. Lots of interesting things on the productions he produced during his exceptional spell at the Young Vic.
