Sorry to see he has died. I first remember listening to him on the radio in I’m Sorry I’ll Read That Again almost 50 years ago.

The Goodies merciless lampooning of Arthur C Clarke is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen.
Don't cry for me Marge and Tina you once sang in a comedy sketch that was taking off Evita but maybe those of us who grew up with you will realise that the world is a sadder place now.
Farewell Tim, the trandem now sadly has an empty seat.

Horrible news. I always turn to The Goodies whenever I need some silliness, which these days is more and more. Joyous comedy. Everybody to wear Union Jack underpants in tribute.

I had tickets to see the Goodies next Sunday at the BFI TV festival, before everything got shut down. I was so excited to see the team in person all together - it was one of my favourite programmes as a child. Now I never will. Desperately sad.

The Goodies were eccentric and amazing!
As well as their tv work they had a successful music career with ‘Funky Gibbon’ being a big hit for them. They reminded me a lot of Scaffold.Remember getting a single that they recorded called ‘The Inbetweenies’ as a kid and the flip side was what today would be seen as totally un-pc...it was called ‘Father Christmas Do Not Touch Me’ and was based on an old Army drinking song,I believe. Their tv show was anarchic, bizarre and uproariously funny. Sad to hear the news yesterday.
Great tributes on the BBC news pages from Cleese,Fry and others.

There are so many roles he could have taken on stage, but he never seemed that interested in a theatre career.
I don't know why, but I would have loved him to play the Major General.
