Getting bored, BurlyBeaR? And you normally work from home! The taste for a new generation - Pepsi? Clunk Click - was one of those government films encouraging us to fasten our seatbeats, fronted by he who shall not be named. The best a man can get - Gilette Melts in your mouth - Minstrels Your flexible friend - one of the credit cards brands, possibly Access? The appliance of science - Creda? Put a tiger in your tank - Esso They drink it in the Congo - Um Bongo. Different times!

I don't even know if they're still around, but Topic was the hazelnut version of a Marathon.

A Hazelnut in every bite I'm guessing Dairy Milk Fruit and Nut. TallPaul was right, it’s Topic. Still available as far as I know and very tasty.

A diamond is forever was, presumably, either one of the big mining companies like De Beers, or one of the retailers, like Beaverbrooks or Prestons of Bolton.
The diamond advert I remember was the one about spending a month's salary, or something, on an engagement ring.

A diamond is forever was, presumably, either one of the big mining companies like De Beers I believe they tried to go with "Buy from our cartel and no amount of time will suffice to wash the blood off your hands" but it never really caught on.

At the moment remember the immortal words (almost) of Tony Hancock and stay home on an egg.

Goodness knows why I'm able to remember so many advertising slogans from yesteryear. We were more of a BBC family than an ITV one, so I suppose it just shows how clever copywriters are!
Here's another five to be getting on with:
1. See the face you love light up
2. The margarine for men
3. The bank that likes to say yes
4. Made to make your mouth water
5. Naughty, but nice

Made to make your mouth water I know that was Opal Fruits. I remember they came in flavours that included yellow, orange, red and green. I think there was supposed to be some type of fruit associated with the colours.

Although I would eat them, obvs, one of the reasons I was never a huge fan of Toffos is because the banana flavoured one really did taste of banana. 🤢

See the face you love light up, with Terrys All Gold whilst you can come and see TSB, the bank that likes to say Yes.

Another big slogan from that era:
