During the current emergency it would be great to watch some of those old progs that used to amuse us. i would love to see a rerun of Yes Minister, Only Fools and Horses and That Was the Week that Was for starters. Going back still further there was The Pallisers. And anything with Richard Briers. I think they have all this stuff in the archive. But maybe someone on here knows how to access it via one of the channels. Anyone work for the Beeb? Nudge em will ya or go and rummage through the old boxes in the basement.

All episodes of 'Fame' please, including the ones that didn't get aired in the UK first time around - but only if on freeview as I don't have anything else and now have even less money coming in so no way I can pay extra just for tv!

BritBox is a new streaming service which claims to have the best of British TV. If you have an EE mobile phone you can get it free for six months, although I haven’t activated it yet.

Drama on Freeview shows a good selection of 'classics' from yesteryear, like Monarch of the Glen and Bergerac, for example.
Freeview channel 20 (unless the numbers change throughout the country).

With a lack of television, hard to make any at the moment. Wondering if it would be a good time to broadcast National Theatre Live?

It'll never happen mostly due to contracts but also theatre doesn't rate well on television generally. Broadcasters are affected but there's not in a situation where they'll have to showing ancient repeats or plays in primetime. You'll more likely seen stuff that's aired in the last few years being repeated or factual with newer stuff that's already in the can

I collect old TV as a hobby and I think you might be disappointed with That Was The Week That Was. I have most of the episodes and, although quite brilliant, it’s full of satire about things/people that gave been totally forgotten. I’ve been watching 70s Basil Brush to cheer me up.

The one thing I would love love LOVE to see again is Mother Love. I saw it once, when it was first on in the mid 80s(?). Diana Rigg and James Wilby, and I've never forgotten it.

I can see you could get Britbox free for a while but I baulk at then paying for stuff I have already paid for via licence - stop. Don’t start that discussion here. I’ll check other suggestions, ta everyone.

Youtube has many old editions of "Play For Today" and "Armchair Theatre" etc. I recommend Peter Hall's "No Man's Land" with John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson and a very young Michael Kitchen

Sony Channel shows Hart to Hart, Starsky and Hutch, Charlie's Angels, TJ Hooker and MASH. I'm a regular viewer and watching these takes me back to my childhood. It's like having a great big blanket around me.
CBS Drama and CBS Justice show old episodes of Bonanza, The High Chapparal, Perry Mason, Father Dowling etc.
