With Quiet Place 2, James Bond, Fast and the Furious, Mulan, New Mutants and Antlers all being pushed back for release and with our government saying everything’s open for business, what the HECK are British cinemas gonna show in the next couple of months?!?

I think Bloodshot is the last release for the next month, which is just ridiculous.

So far as "What Will Be On At The Cinema" is concerned, Curzon has so far only postponed the James Bond as they had no choice. Hence I hope they - and Picture House - will continue to offer their usual decent range of films.

Not that this is a top priority but does anybody else have an Unlimited or Limitless card? Obviously I want to continue supporting the cinema but if all the films are pushed back I just can't justify paying for it.

I have an Infinity card, which is the equivalent for the Light cinema - unlimited films for £16.95 a month. I am seeing Bloodshot, My Spy, Misbehaviour and Dream Horse this weekend - but I think that will be it in terms of new releases for the immediate future.

I’ve read that Cineworld are concerned they’ll go into liquidation if the present situation goes on for too long . So I guess the answer is it won’t matter what’s new releases are available , there’ll be nowhere to show them if the same thing happens to other cinemas .

I’ve read that Cineworld are concerned they’ll go into liquidation if the present situation goes on for too long . So I guess the answer is it won’t matter what’s new releases are available , there’ll be nowhere to show them if the same thing happens to other cinemas . That’s nonsense. Newspapers took a public statement from the CEO and have blown it out of proportion. It was an honest statement about the state of cinema, but at no point did he say that Cineworld will go bust. The cinema market is going to struggle, but there’s plans in place to fill gaps in scheduling with independent releases, or continue with the current slate of films until the eventual close down which is going to affect many markets and not just cinemas. If people are going to start believing that Cineworld will go bust, then are they also believing that every other cinema chain is going to go bust and we’re left with no cinemas in the future - because this virus is affecting all businesses and not just one - the only difference is that Cineworld spoke honestly to the press, others have not. 3/4 months down the line, films will be released, people will go to the cinema in what is expected to be a hugely successful last few months for cinemas with so many releases and whilst year end figures won’t exactly be glowing, it’ll still be business as usual.

About 18 months ago my local Odeon closed down without notice due to a fire alarm issue. Everyone was promised a special something if we didnt quit limitless........which turned out to be a big fat NOTHING. so dont trust them if they try and pursuade u to stay.....
