I debated on another thread today about starting a thread on JD as I thought I’d be the only one who would post on it!
It’s going to be a busy year- he’s got a couple of weeks left in Chicago in Australia, Joseph at the Palladium in the summer, a tour in the autumn and now panto at the end of the year.

Jason has been a regular fixture on the UK Theatre scene for well over 20 years since he cleaned his act up after his initial mega fame. I expect he's had panto offers before so him giving it a crack isn't a surprise. Also whilst you may not automatically associate him with a villain role I'm sure he'll have a lot of fun being able to ham it up and go OTT. Also Matt Slack will have some fun with him and I think JD will be open to send himself up a bit.

He’s done villain before, I am thinking in particular of Sweeney Todd but there have been others over the years. He’ll have fun that’s for sure- he seems to be at the enjoying life stage of life which is lovely to see! For those who have seen the Palladium version, how much singing might there be? My one concern is always his ongoing vocal issues that *touch wood* seemed to finally improve somewhat last year. |

For those who have seen the Palladium version, how much singing might there be? Next to no singing for that role at the Palladium if I remember, although I'd be shocked if they didn't give him a song. |

About 20 years ago when Jason was having his "lost weekend" moments and there were stories about him in the press being down on his luck as he was doing nightclub PAs for around a grand a time. He apparently realised that he was still doing okay if he could make a grand a night and got himself together and has had a solid stage career since then.
