Anyone else watch this? Astonishing bravura performance from Glenda Jackson, great story too.

Just finished watching it. I'm sure there maybe an award or two for her.

I thought the woman who played the daughter was equally wonderful and their relationship rang so true. Also very realistic was the child who only visits occasionally being the "blue-eyed boy/girl" who can do no wrong whilst the one doing all the work is constantly denigrated.

That was hard viewing, amazing piece of acting, harrowing, beautiful and quite terrifying.

Finally got around to watching it last night and it was wonderful. Jackson was magnificent, I found her depiction of Maud to be incredibly moving.

Totally agree - there's been a giant Glenda-shaped hole in film and theatre for too long. (Not counting Lear.) How the heck did she act like that when she's so out of practice? Much as I love Dame Mags, it was lovely to see someone different (who isn't polyfillered) bring her A game to the role.
I hope they throw all the awards at her. And I hope she'll continue.
