My old pendulum wall clock can't be turned back, so I used to turn it forward twenty three hours with forty six waits for it to finish striking before I could move it on. Then it dawned on me that I could just stop the pendulum for an hour.

Very unusual for me not to be out late at the theatre on a Saturday and to be glad of the hour to stay on track. Instead I sacrificed my precious trip in order to have time at home alone to get things done (OH was going out for the afternoon but hardly ever leaves the house for long and doesn't understand how stifled that makes me feel), which was worthwhile if tedious. Hence today I have woken at what would have been about my usual time (c 3.30 am), only of course it was only 2.30 am. However, I'll be putting that time to good use, too!

I have a sitzprobe today and need to get the car loaded with plenty of time as loads of gear. Woke up and forgot to put my clock back last night - almost had a panic attack, crikey.

This is nice. After a busy day yesterday I'm off for some walking/watching writing research in the good weather!

Horrible having to put the lights on before 5 o'clock this afternoon. If only we could have winters that were cold but had as much light as in summer.

Really depressing to be travelling home in the dark today.
