Saw this yesterday and quite liked it, Jennifer Lopez certainly steals the show as Ramona but Constance Wu is also good as well. It's interesting that some people are criticising it for glamourising what they did which is odd considering we've had films like The Wolf of Wall Street which does the same thing and nobody batted an eyelid but also I don't think the film does glamourise but it doesn't exactly condone it.

Got to be honest, I was rather bored by the end of this. The story wasn't obvious to me, until much later in the story than I would have liked - I would have liked it to have been a bit quicker paced.

I think it has been miss-sold as a fun comedy/caper film or ‘dramedy’, when actually it’s a character-driven drama.
It’s quite a good character-driven drama - and, Lord knows, we get so few of them that actually focus on female relationships, let alone starring women of colour, that this one is refreshing. But it’s not as good as some of the reviews are making out.
Well worth seeing, but I’ll be surprised if it gets the awards love some are predicting.

Yep, really liked this. But then I've liked every film Lorene Scafaria has written and/or directed, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World and The Meddler are brilliant films. As a character driven drama it worked very well, although I;m not sure the story demanded the length of film considering in essence it was a fairly run of the mill con. But very well acted from all, something I honestly never thought I'd say about a Jennifer Lopez film but she and Constance Wu are a superb double act.

Loved this today. Jennifer Lopez was pretty spectacular - I wouldn’t be surprised if she got a supporting actress nod when the Oscars come round. It’s was funny, but there were some really strong dramatic performances - 4 stars for me
