They were the toast of theatreland at one point and then seemed to pack it in! They are still blamed/credited in some quarters for the closure of Love Never Dies/Paint Never Dries.

I was at an afterparty for the 24 Hour Plays at the Old Vic one year, standing sipping champagne with my husband and surveying the room.
A young woman approached us gingerly and said "I really hate to interrupt your night, but I just have to ask... are you the West End Whingers?"
Sadly we had to set her straight (so to speak)...
