Hello everyone, my name is Mark and I've just joined this forum =]
I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice on how I could go about launching a career in theatre, or the possible job roles there are for someone starting out.
Some brief background on me - I am a film student currently studying in London and I have a long eight month break, which I want to fill getting some experience in the arts. I feel like theatre would be a really interesting, creatively stimulating environment, and I'd really like to get some valuable experience in it whilst I'm based in London!
My ultimate dream would be to direct feature length films, so anything involving actors would be amazing! I do have some experience directing and writing short films, as well as some experience in sound as part of my BA course. I'm more than happy to work cleaning behind the scenes, or in a technical department, just to get my foot in the door, even as a volunteer. I just want to start building my CV and continuing to work towards my dream =]
If anyone has any suggestions to how I should go about doing this, or what potential job roles I should focus on I'd love to get your opinions!
Thank you!

Thank you!
I will defiantly look into ushering / front of house work as soon as I get an opportunity and look into that website as well =]
Thanks again, I'm looking forward to where this chapter in life will take me.
