... and so it begins. James Corden has been announced to be returning as host for the ceremony.
Can't say I'm too thrilled, he is horribly overrated and annoying but you can't win them all.

America seems to like him a lot more than we do. I guess it helps that he didn't really crack it over there until after he'd been through his obnoxious "I'M SO GREAT" phase that his Gavin & Stacey castmates had to talk him down from...

I was really hoping for John Mulaney to do but James Corden is a safe bet plus, he has an actual theatre background and loves theatre.
Hadestown is actually one of the front runners for best musical which I think is ironic after the snubs at the Olivier’s this year.

He did an excellent job last time he hosted the Tonys - in very difficult circumstances. That has not been forgotten.

I think Hadestown will get a nomination, and although ENZ was fine in it, nothing about her performance screams 'excellence in theatre'. She's good, and sang it beautifully don't get me wrong, but isn't necessarily exceptional nor does she carry the show on her shoulders, so I don't think that qualifies for a nomination let alone a win.
