She's done a number of these shows over the years, wish I'd gone to one. She must have some great stories from across her career. There is footage of her receiving her Tony on Youtube - an award she shared jointly with Leslie Uggams and the award was presented by the legendary Groucho Marx. When Groucho announces the winners are, everyone thinks he is joking but there were really joint winners.
Dame Patricia is now 90 so I'd urge any fans to see her show as we don't know how many more she'll want to do.

I simply adore this woman although she's never let me have a photo with her She toured with this show about 5 years ago and it was really really interesting to those who don't know of her wonderful career in musical theatre. She has a chat with a host which is obviously scripted which is interspersed with clips of her records over the time. I loved hearing about her performances in Darling of the Day in particular. I was upset when she pulled out of doing the 50th celebration performance of My Fair Lady at Covent Garden, she would have had so much fun with Mrs Higgins! Hehe

I saw one of her talks with Edward Seckersten at Charing Cross theatre a few years ago. Very entertaining afternoon.

Just listen to this..
Truly one of the most sublime performances of a song you’ll ever hear.

Saw her do something similar at the Charing Cross theatre and found it very enjoyable. It’s a shame she didn’t sing though, but hearing her stories and talking about the recordings was very worth it.
