TheatreBoard! TheatreBoard! How to win an Olivier Award? Who’s in the cast? Who will direct? No, not them... I have to object! Is there a dog? What height is the stage? Dayseats? No! That fills me with rage! I loved the cast You really should go But oh my word Bad behaviour at a show! Some sang along Some played with their phone Some kept quiet Not Patti LuPone! Do I make the team?

On my goodness! pianowithsam this is brilliant and has genuinely made my day 😊 Thank you so much for turning my post into something far more fabulous! I presume “WhatsOnStage tonight” is a reference to our ancient heritage? Lovely stuff.

NO ONE is playing me without me seeing them audition first!
And I don’t want see an exaggerated Aussie accent either, because I don’t have one.

pianowithsam that was awesome.
I want Ian McKellen to play me, but I'll probably get Russell Grant.

There's a Board for us Somewhere a Board for us Peace and quiet and Burly Bear* Wait for us somewhere.
There's a thread for us Some day a thread for us Mornington Crescent or How Was Your Day Pantos or Shakespeare or Come From Away
Some day Somewhere We'll find a new way of writing A way without all the in-fighting
Somewhere
There's a play for us Somewhere a show for us Inside a theatre where we all care Enough to come and share
Somehow Some day Somewhere!
*Yes, yes. I do realise that peace and quiet and Burly is an oxymoron but, well, it rhymed, so...

We may be the first theatre discussion board in history to have its own theme song! Amazing pianowithsam , thanks . No worries, haha. I'm sure I'll be able to turn it into a full track when I get some time.

We're nothing special in fact we're a bit of a bore If we tell a joke we've probably told it before* But we have a talent, a wonderful boast 'Cos everyone listens when we start to post We're so grateful and proud To be so verbally well, ahem, endowed
So I say Thank you for the forum The posts we're writing Thanks for all the fun play fighting Who could live without it? I ask in all honesty What would life be Without a quip or a whip** who are we? So I say thank you for the forum For giving it to me
Mother says we were showoffs before we could walk She said we could sing long before we could talk But I've often wondered how did it all start? Who found a forum could capture a heart Like Theatreboard can? Well, whoever it was I'm a fan
So I say Thank you for the posters The threads they're scribbling Thanks for all the pics that get us dribbling Who could live without it? I ask in all honesty What would life be Without a Pole or a dark who are we? So I say thank you for the forum For giving it to me
We've been so lucky We are the board with the golden (oldie😜) mods I wanna sing it out to everybody What a group! what charisma! what..um.. bods!
So I say Thank you for the modsters Their red inked postings Thanks for all Their good natured roastings Who could live without them? I ask in all honesty Where would we be? Without their tons of crappy puns Who are we? So I say thank you for the modsters For giving them to me
*Not looking anywhere in particular @theatremonkey **You know who you are

Well aren't you a clever bunch. I particularly like it when I can identify the tune I should be singing to, I realise my musical knowledge in pretty poor. Can I be one of the stage crew who walk around with a headset on? I quite fancy that. I bring no skills to that role but can provide my own black clothing.

Tibidabo, by any measure, this is a class lyric....
Mornington Crescent or How Was Your Day Pantos or Shakespeare or Come From Away.

Being in a country far,far away I think my character should just be a big floating holographic head like Olivier in Time.

Tibidabo, by any measure, this is a class lyric.... Mornington Crescent or How Was Your Day Pantos or Shakespeare or Come From Away. Why, thank'ee kindly sir! Makes Sir Timothy's pyjamas line look mere schoolboyish eh? Oh hang on.... I do hope everyone's singing along to the correct tunes on this thread - otherwise they all get a bit lost in translation.

I'm hoping a PG Chimp comes out of retirement. Failing that, Johnny Vegas is always looking for work so he could take the role as next best thing..
