Have just booked to see what is described in a Wilton's email as follows:
'The Viviana Durante Company present Seven Deadly Sins, Kenneth MacMillan's version of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's 'ballet with songs', directed by Viviana Durante herself and starring cabaret sensation Meow Meow and principals of the Royal Ballet.'
It is on from 8th - 18th May. I'm a member and so get priority booking. General booking opens at 10 am on February 4th.

I adore this piece but its very short. Is it not twinned with anything? Wiltons webiste does not indicate that it is

As the Saturday matinees are at 4pm I'm guessing it will be a fairly short running time. I'm thinking I might go, as Laura Morera & Melissa Hamilton are in the cast.

That is baffling that they can change the programme on just 4 days' notice. The names of most of the singers are familiar to me. I've seen Wendy Dawn Thompson, Charles Johnston & Timothy Dawkins in various English Touring Opera productions & Stephen Brown in The Gondoliers at Buxton, all a few years back. What any of them would be like singing Weill I couldn't say.

Thanks Dawnstar. It would have been so much better if they had announced a reason for the change - especially as Viviana Durante was tweeting about the rehearsals only a couple of weeks ago. |

I know I have rattled on about how the Sins makes for a short night and short changes the punter. Perhaps Kabaret and Sins (either way round) would make for a great night?
