Perhaps we should cut the Hampstead some slack though. They need to sell their tickets, before sharing the production for free, or they wouldn't be able to keep going.

And the Hampstead have the most generous record on this sort of thing, including sharing "Drawing the Line" and "Firebird" online previously, and in this case, they might even turn some "Game of Thrones" fans into theatregoers.

Doh that'll teach me to read spoilers.

This is now being streamed free on ‘IGTV’. Downloaded the IGTV app and found that the whole thing has been recorded in PORTRAIT! I was hoping to be able to airplay it to my Apple TV and watch it on the big screen, but apparently not.

Is there any desktop workaround on this or do I have to watch on my phone?

Thanks! I haven't used Instagram video before. I imagine most of the target demographic watch stuff on iphones, but it's great they're doing this. I wish more theatres would do something like this at the end of their run: NT live is expensive and judging by the audience at my Liverpool local the demographic attracted to that is even older than the typical theatre audience.

I think they did it well, though I was watching on a large desktop rather than my phone - the picture was very clear and they used split screens where reaction shots were needed. The only downside was that it seems to have been recorded without an audience, and I missed hearing that interactive element. Oddly, it felt closer to the theatre experience than the cinema NT live 'Madness of King George' or 'Beware of Pity' watched online, though both of those were from large theatre spaces - this felt much more intimate and engaging.
