I saw it at The old Union theatre and loved it. Booked for Greenwich in the summer. I’m excited.

Going Friday. Loved HMS Pinafore that they toured 2 years ago.

Seeing this on Friday too! Looking forward to it. I too loved HMS Pinafore and Pirates.

The Company usually visit the Lowry with their gorgeous shows, but somehow this year they have missed it. I loved both Pinafore and Mikado - and what brilliant singers they are.

Not the most well known of G&S's operettas but a beautiful score very well sung with every word clear including the characteristic patter songs. A very talented young cast.
A superbly inventive production. I loved the quirky, unique design of the costumes which had a beautiful colour palette. The choreography was very clever, witty and inventive with lots of amusing business.
Recommended.

Caught this at Wiltons a few years back after Pirates and Pinafore... (although the order could be wrong!)
Would agree with the positive comments and would highly recommend- they are imaginatively put together, beautifully sung, and somehow seem to work without being embarrassingly camp or over the top. Yes, there’s a twinkle in the eyes and a tongue in cheek but they’re great reinventions of some G&S pieces.
I also think they’re much more ‘sophisticated’ and polished than a lot of the other stuff I’ve seen at the Union.

If anyone is wanting a traditional but excellent Gondoliers then the Scottish opera production currently at Hackney Empire is really good. Sounds and looks fab.

Well that was a great afternoon at Wiltons. I'd seen this version of Pinafore before a few years ago at Hackney Empire which I loved but this was even better. Really suited to the wonderful Wiltons. If possible it was even funnier tha last time. Cast superb and amazing singers and dancers. Loved the fact that they weren't mic'd and could hear every word. I've also seen the all male versions of Pirates, Iolanthe and Mikado and love them all. I also saw Pinafore at the ENO a few months ago and have to say this was far more enjoyable.

Saw this last night. Absolutely loved it! Not a huge G&S fan in general but this production was excellent! Highly recommend!
