Hope the new inside loos work as well as the temporary outside ones!

Damn, will now have to buy my own chocolates during the interval.
The temporary facilities worked really well whilst allowing the Theatre to operate and never more than a slight inconvenience on my numerous visits.
Looking forward to seeing the changes first hand in the near future.

Still, there was a massive line of women, so even the 11 wasn't enough. I also felt the new basement layout was cramped and the loo entrances were along one wall making it feel almost in among the diners, which didn't work well. The women inside may just have been taking time to 'ooh' and 'aah' at all the changes, and caused a hold-up ;-) I was slightly bemused that the Old Vic signage appeared to show the wheelchair user about to mow down a baby...

Some pictures of the refurbished areas I was there at the weekend, and it is improved somewhat. Much larger foyer and yes, more loos - according to the list I made from the signs, "basement has 1 containing 2 cubicles and 7 urinals, 1 containing 11 cubicles and 1 changing space, 1 unisex disabled." Much easier to get down there as there is a second staircase from the foyer and street. Still, there was a massive line of women, so even the 11 wasn't enough. I also felt the new basement layout was cramped and the loo entrances were along one wall making it feel almost in among the diners, which didn't work well. Looks like they've spent more than a penny.

Seems like the perfect venue and time for a revival of Urinetown.

When humanity can't even organise a piss in a theatre you despair for its existence.
