Might go next month once the Christmas/New Year crowds have died down a bit, I have Southbank Centre membership and really should use it more often than going to the Members Bar for Happy Hour every time I go to see a show/go shopping in the West End (haven't see anything at the RFH since Soulwax in June, and have nothing booked there until Marc Maron in April, but hopefully will be a few more things that catch my eye once the QEH and the Hayward Gallery reopen next year.

I was in Stockholm during the ABBA heyday and had been told that they used to frequent the Café Opera which is in the Opera house. Hung around there every day for 3 days only to find out after that they weren't even in the country. This was way before the internet so you had to rely on word of mouth.
Nice cakes there though.

No other country took to ABBA like Australia. Fact!
I actually remember coming to Australia. I was only about 5, so far to young to go to the concert. And even if my parents had taken me (that never would) the Sydney concert, although it went ahead, was completely washed out with torrential rain just pelting down. The hysteria and the torrential rain is something that can be seen in ABBA The Movie.
I remember being at my grandparents house and seeing the front page of the newspaper with the headlines stating 'Frida slips'. She'd evidently slipped over because the amount of water on the stage.

I am back from my London trip and saw the exhibition yesterday. As a massive Abba Fan(I am not massive just my fanhood!)it is worth seeing. You are guided through 9 rooms with your guide , which does bring the exhibition to life somewhat. There are many unique exhibits to see but I wont spoil it too much. This is a timed entry so probably better to book your slot in advance .It lasts an hour and you need to keep together with your group. The price varies through the day. The cheapest is in the morning and the price rises by £10 at night.

Just did this today- part of a Birthday gift to myself- and it was good.
I am an unashamed ABBA fan and knew EVERY song! A lot of the stuff I already knew from previous documentaries, books. etc but is as great to see some go the costumes, photographs, etc.
Great to also see the Australian influence, with the infamous raining concert in Sydney, Pricilla, Queen of the Desert and Muriel's Wedding and the sample on the Madonna's track Hung Up.
I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Finally managed to get around to seeing the exhibition this morning after having to abandon my original booking at last December.
Got to say this was great fun and had a fanboy moment when we were allowed to sing along to Dancing Queen. It’s a shame it was only an hour. Would have loved to have stayed a bit longer but never mind. The tour guide we had was great fun and it helped get everyone in the mood.

Agreed. It was like stepping back in time. Suprised when i came back to read a lot of negative feedback on tripadvisor for this exhibition. Luckily twitter was more friendler.
