I sat in B10 last week and had no problem seeing what you refer to at the end, so you must have been unlucky... Yes we were sat in row D and had no problems either.
Excellent play !

Is this being filmed for a NT live type screening? I thought I read it was but can’t find anything when I google- maybe it was just a dream I had/wishful thinking!!!

I haven't heard anything yet about this getting a cinema release but it wouldn't surprise me at all as the Michael Grandage Company are showing their other summer production, Red at Wyndham's, in cinemas. Maybe this will follow suit, soonish?

If anyone wants it, I have a £10 matinee seat on Saturday I can't use - Grand Circle AA2, apparently a bit vertiginous but very near the front. Message me (not sure how cos I haven't used this website for doing this before!) and the box office said I can then contact them and give them your name so you can collect it.

Just listed two tickets for this Wednesdays evening performance. Seats are stalls V11 and 12 for £10 each and on the noticeboard.

I had to mentally set aside the subject matter once this kicked off but that said, it was very, very funny. I think the last time I laughed this much was Book of Mormon. There were a couple of references that passed me by and the Irish accents are a bit dense at times but yet - so good. Four stars are well deserved.
It's very violent though so I may have spent some of the latter parts "hiding" behind the person in front of me.
If you take middle of row V in the stalls, please note that there is inadequate legroom at 5'10. Also, you're directly behind someone (in my case with a topknot hairstyle). Because the seat next to me was empty I could lean over. If you're happy to lean over and need less legroom, excellent value and nothing is missed.

Loved it. It’s a short play without much substance, but it’s a silly play about a silly storyline backed up with pretty good comedy that lands well. Who needs more on a Friday night? (Well, aside from a double vodka).
I couldn’t help but be reminded of The Dingles and their house from Emmerdale though.
Sat in the £10 seats back of the stalls and wasn’t disappointed. But it took some getting used to hearing Captain Ross not sound like Captain Ross ha (even though that’s a false accent). I almost shouted “Lucky Mare” at the first kiss, but I composed myself. Which was good, because “Lucky Cow” might have been more relevant.
Chris Walley was very good too I thought, although I thought his accent dropped into Welsh from time to time... although I have since discovered he actually is Irish. I blame being at the back of the stalls!

Does anyone know if they're still selling play texts at the theatre?

Does anyone know if they're still selling play texts at the theatre? I'm not sure (not very helpful) BUT Foyles on Charing Cross Road didn't have them in stock for a while but they do now. Less than a ten minute walk from the theatre.

So so good! Chuffed I got to see this before it closed. I found it hilarious, lots of awkward laughter from the audience. Michael Grandage Company consistently producing some great work.
