Americans are exceptionally touchy about nudity. They probably looked at the PG rating and thought it was PG in American terms, which is effectively the lowest rating because G is considered box office suicide. (Many films that get a U rating in Britain are PG in the US for this reason.) Given that our U rating permits brief non-sexual nudity and PG drops the "brief" requirement they could have had no idea what they were in for.
What's weird is that the Salt Lake Tribune says that between 100 and 150 students watched the film on September 28th and 29th. Assuming it wasn't a midnight screening that suggests there was more than one showing, so presumably the teachers thought "That was racier than we expected for a PG video. Cool! We gotta do this again tomorrow."

Only in America  But it's Salt Lake City, so I'm not surprised. Just takes one kid to report back home "Mommy, there were nudey pictures in that movie we saw" for one pearl-clutching mother to flip her lid. |
