So last night fellow board member Anniek and I attended the Theatre Cafe Stagey Quiz, hosted by actor Keiron Brown.
Our team The Quizzers and I (see what I did there?-Thank you) did extremely well but alas, it is with heavy heart that I announce that it wasn't quite good enough.
Despite winning by quite a significant margin last years, this time we came second.
We were able to answer most questions with confidence.
There were twelve heavily pixelated theatre images and we worked out 11 of them.
In the King and I we knew that he was the monarch of which country?
Which war was South Pacific set during?
We knew the lyrics for 'Popular'
We also knew which Broadway star appeared in the original production of Les Miserables.
Speaking of Broadway, we knew which show Ricky Martin appeared in
The profession of the three male leads in On The Town
Which actress was Indina Menzel's understudy on Broadway
Also who has played the role of Elphaba the longest?
And in the show what exactly what La Cage aux Follies is?
And which X-Factor winner appeared on Broadway?
To list just a few questions from memory.
We were even able to list the names of all of the Von Trapp children in order- Leisel, Fredrick, Louisa, Kurt, Brigitta, Marta and Gretel can managed to get moist of their ages-we all know Liesel was sixteen, going on seventeen, that Marta was seven and Gretel was five.
What got us in the end was how friggin' colours did Joesph have in his multi-coloured dream coat? List all of the colours in order
We've decided that next year we're going to be call ourselves F**cking Joseph!
