Roy Dotrice has died. Best known here for his one man show "Brief Lives" playing John Aubrey. He got this part after his brilliant Justice Shallow in the famous RSC "Wars of the Roses" in 1964. "Brief Lives" first opened in 1967 and he kept returning to it - I saw him in it in 2008. The typecasting that resulted meant he never did much more work in UK but he did a huge amount in USA on TV and stage.
