Yes, I forgot Working Girl. The musical version is Cyndi Lauper's next project, which I'm not at all sure about. If anyone was going to write it, it should have been Carly Simon, surely. I love that whole opening sequence so much. It's so uplifting for some reason. I didn't know about a stage version so thanks for that. I'm willing to keep an open mind as regards Cyndi Lauper.

Let the River Run, is, for my money, one of the best songs ever written for a film. Completely agree. Looks like it won't be in the stage version - my understanding from reading your link (thanks!) is that it will be all new music?

We should probably start a new thread, but yes (or do I mean no??), which doesn't seem right somehow.
I suppose there are all kinds of legal issues, and egos, to take into consideration!!

I love it when Melanie Griffiths says to Sigourney Weaver "Now get your boney ass outta my sight!"

No matter how good this turns out to be it will always ultimately be disappointing. The reason?
No. Joan. Cusack.
