I managed to get a stalls ticket this morning and can't wait as I've been waiting so long for her to come back over here (Glee Tour 2011 was the last time I saw her live). Are any other board members going?

Didn't even know about it. Great venue for a concert. Also just announced Matthew Morrissey is doing the Hippodrome Casino. Almost a Glee gathering

I must confess I'd rather stick hot needles in my eyes while rolling naked across broken glass than listen to the caterwauling this young woman calls singing!! But she clearly has ardent fans so I hope it's fabulous! And who am I judge I have every album Tammy Wynette ever recorded! (And Britney Spears but that's for another day!)

It was an absolutely fantastic evening, Lea voice is stunning live and she has charm and wit on stage.
A nice melody of Glee songs along with tracks from 'Louder' and 'Places'...she also did 'My Man' and that went down a storm!!!

Her set for the US leg of the tour was only 12 songs long, did she perform more last night?

Anyone think it’s likely that Lea Michele and Darren Criss will bring their current tour to the UK for a few dates? I know Lea was only here last year but they both clearly have their fans this side of the pond. I’d love to see the two of them together!

Yes me too. Love Lea and Darren. Their voices are great and Darren is not too bad to look at either!

The whole thing has been recorded by a 'Gleek' My Nana will be looking down, pleased that some good came of her curtains... ...but seriously, how low key was that whole thing? Whilst intimate, the whole thing seemed massively underrehearsed and just a little bit shoddy.

She does have a great voice though, I really like her and the kiddie-winks in the audience were clearly loving it.
Just reading some of the comments, what is wrong with our youth that they’re permanently crying at stuff? “OMG I’m literally crying 😭 “ etc. We seem to have produced a generation of people with emotional issues. I dread to think how they’re going to “deal” when something bad happens in real life. Poorly, one imagines.

As a former 'Gleek' and on going Lea Michele fan from the Spring Awakening days, I reckon I'd probably be pretty excited to be in the audience at one of these concerts too. In fact I really do hope they decide to bring the tour over here!
Tbh Burly, I can't tell if you're kidding or not, but when people say stuff like 'I'm crying' they rarely mean that they're sitting in front of their computer *actually* crying. Just like when people say 'lol' it's probably safe to assume they're not actually laughing out loud most of the time. It's more an expression like 'wow, I'm loving this'. .
Also, it is possible to cry with happiness at something, I don't think that shows a weakness of someone's character or is a good indicator of how someone deals with grief or traumatic experiences.
Given how Glee was such a big part of so many tweens' lives a few years back, I don't think it's unreasonable to get emotional experiencing two of its biggest stars singing live together.

Ahhh I see. What about when they say “I’m literally crying here”? Are we to assume that they’re NOT literally crying or do we take it at face value and believe it? Very confusing!
And yes yes I am kidding. A bit. I do think that we have a generation of people who appear to be less resilient though.

I mean, 'I'm literally crying' is probably one of my most used phrases and even I'm not sure what the distinction is really! Especially as I very rarely am LITERALLY crying Although maybe if I was in the crowd at one of these shows it'd be a different story!

Lea and Darren have just announced West Coast USA dates and Darren pretty much confirmed that some UK/Ireland dates are on the way soon. Keep calm fellow Glee fans!
Update: dates to be announced next Monday according to Lea
