I believe this is starting in the summer. 2017 tour dates to be announced soon anyway. Ooooo I am assuming with the start date they may add the new songs or changes from the movie, which is released in March?

The first ever show I saw on Broadway. Will definitely go and see this if it comes near-ish to me.

I know it seemed a pretty obvious question but I only ask as the subsequent tour was UK Productions, so it could've been anyone next! Maybe Kenwright! But I'm glad it's Disney, I'm sure it'll be a spectacle.

Really hope it is the original Disney production and not the cheap UK Productions version.

As cheap as UK Productions was in comparison to Disney, actually the UKP one pound for pound was more successful.
The last time i saw the original Beauty set, it was stashed away in a aircraft hanger near Milton Keynes. The tour lost a fortune as it was so large and back then the appetite for the musical was not as good.
That being said, with the movie release in March, ANYONE doing it has a surefire hit on their hands.

Saw this on Broadway before it came over here. Came out the theatre and was greeted with the lights of Times Square. Amazing.
The next time I saw it was at Sunderland Empire. Same amazing show but the surrounding area not quite as exciting.

If disney are producing it gives me hope. Id love the original staging to return but if not id be happy with a reconceived version as i trust disney.
As long as it's not the uk productioms/Networks kind of tour

If so please let it be a new production and not just an over designed carbon copy of the film

Sadly not, it's been pulled Disappointed to hear this, it would've been maximising on the new film so timing was perfect. I'd still like to see this one day, hopefully soon.

So tomorrow (April 18th), it is exactly 25 years since Beauty and the Beast premiered on Broadway! Do we thinks a tour or a revival will happen in the not too distant? Seems a shame they didn't do it to capitalise on the film.
