Well that was highly enjoyable and a welcome relief from the sh*te tv we've been subjected to. Very much a crowd pleaser selection of songs performed with panache by the cast. If I have a criticism it's that Joanna Ampil didn't let go at any point, gorgeous voice but it was all a bit pulled back and restrained, even on For Good with Kerry. Classy though. Lovely orchestra and OMG, Oliver Thompsett with a beard..... SUPER WOOF! . Had difficulty looking anywhere else when he was on stage! Audience lapped it up, full ovation and a Mamma Mia medley for the encore. Weeeeell it's Christmas eh? I'll deffo go back and see it with the different cast in May.

I hope he keeps this beard for his Hippodrome show in March.

I hope he keeps this beard for his Hippodrome show in March. He's doing some concerts with Louise Dearman later in 2017, James Bond theme songs.

Nice. They're doing a NYE one in Manchester too aren't they?

Nice. They're doing a NYE one in Manchester too aren't they? That's The Oscars, not Bond. Bond is on Friday with the Halle and Alison Jiear.

He's very dreamy with that beard, lol. I work at the Bridgewater and I got a bit weak in the knees when he said hello when I "accidentally" happened to be at the stage door as he was leaving

This goes round again in May with different performers. Samantha Barks Hannah Waddingham Ben Forster Tim Howar Bridgewater Hall 12th May Royal Festival Hall 13th May Sam Barks and Ben Forster have bailed out and now it's Louise Dearman and Oliver Tompsett joining Hannah Waddingham and Tim Howar. Which is fine by me but people who booked on the back of those two names might feel aggrieved.

Manchester still have the poster with Sam Barks outside which doesn't help, even though she pulled out months ago.

There's something very funny about Louise Dearman singing Popular with a huge tummy that's clearly about to produce a bouncing baby at any moment lol. Great cast, Hannah Waddingham though! Blimey. She can get up there can't she? Oliver Thompsett has trimmed it down so we can see his dimples . His Anthem from Chess and Corner Of The Sky from Pippin were highlights. A bit cheesy but huge fun.
