just seen this in Stratford. It really is Shakespeare for Dummies and virtually nothing that is not created for children.Delighted that the company want the young in to enjoy but why no stimulation for adults. This is a wasted opportunity by creating a children's show but missing the devoted enthusiast.maybe I am wrong...tell me.

I agree! This much delayed exhibition is im afraid just not very good. I went at the wkd and i was all done in half hour and it was v quiet and i was lingering. The silver lining was rhat Clifford Rose was there also! An RSC legend. God only knows who set the entry price, i mean £8.50, wtf. In the town you have the newly refurbed New Place which you cannot get into without paying £17 for a town pass. A massive missed opportunity and a huge disappointment😞

The Play's the Thing exhibition is half price (£4.25) for children.
They advise to allow at least an hour to enjoy it all but it's not surprising that an old hand like martin1965 will have seen it all before and will whizz through in a few minutes.

Well I went yesterday and I really enjoyed it. I didn't learn anything (well, except that Vivien Leigh had a painted on belly button on her frock) but I wasn't expecting to. I had a lot of fun trying on hats and devising a medieval Arctic Midsummer Night's Dream.

Oh, and I really enjoyed the drawers with A-Z things. I did learn things there, like the use of soup and nail varnish. And I enjoyed the jaunty little jigs coming out of some of the drawers.
I am very childish though. I loved Tudor World as well.

Well bit more than "few mins"! Of course its cheaper for kids but as no xhild will go alone, its even more of a rip off im afraid. I had seen the official line re how long abd as usual with these things it was wildly ambitious😕

You could spend £8.40 on a coffee and a cake, so yes.
