Has anyone on here been watching? I really wasn't that keen on it last year, but with a good judging panel and a good host, it's definitely far more enjoyable. My favourites at the moment are Matt Terry and 5 After Midnight. They are stars in the making!

To continue our conversation from the Hairspray thread, George22, I also find it really sad Relley C can't be in the tour. I personally believe all X Factor contestants who made it to the live shows should join the tour. 100% agreed, Ryan is really unlikeable and has a truly terrible attitude. It makes me sad that both Freddy Parker and Relley C went before him. I even prefer Honey G to Ryan. Honey G was truly awful in weeks one and two and definitely deserved to go during that time, however I thought she did give a good performance for Week 3. That's the first time I thought Honey G deserved to stay. I think it's very likely she's an actress though (and the "slang" she uses is horrendous, I think I need to give her a lesson on real slang).

Well my favourites were Relley C and Gifty Louise but since Relley has been unfairly voted off, Gifty is the only person I want to win.
I don't like watching it as I do think it is such a fix (the "random" jukebox landing on Fright Night on Halloween weekend" but there's isn't anything else on.
They spent all their budget on Honey G last night and it's so boring now as she can't rap every week - unfair how good people go out over her. Same for Ryan, he's very arrogant and can't sing

Yeah I agree all the finalists should be in the tour. The tour opens up more opportunities for the finalists (like being spotted by a music producer) so to see two good singers not allowed in it, it's a real shame. Relley shouldn't of been in the sing off but I thought her sing off song was 100 times better than 4oD's song! Relley gave so much to it! I think the judges wanted to keep in a girlband because they see more records being sold in them rather than a good, soul singer. Honey G isn't real, she apparently isn't anything like that outside the show. Hamiltonaddict, what shows do you think Relley could be in? I think she has a good voice for theatre but it all depends if she can act too. She'd be great in Motown but also as an alternate Rachel in The Bodyguard, Sister Act, Deena in Dreamgirls and a possible Maybelle but she may be too young for that role? |

Just caught up on X Factor, horrified Gifty has gone. It's shameful Ryan (not you @ryan , a different Ryan ) is still in the competition, the smug look he had on his face when he won the lifeline vote was awful. Have to admit though, Gifty really did not handle herself well afterwards, claiming the show was a fix and blaming everyone but herself. X Factor would've been a great platform for her, but I think hope is gone now. |

Ugh he's so arrogant!! Really winds me up! Hamilton addict, I agree with yoy about Ryan but I disagree about Gifty. She was probably shocked she's out of the competition but probably annoyed that people like Ryan and Honey G are being saved!! She knows she was a favourite to win so she's annoyed thta weaker singers are still in the show over her and that she won't be in the tour (everyone who got through this week is on the tour) She'll do well anyway with that amazing voice and now she is well known, people will snap her up. I think the show is 100% fixed, Nicole was soooo told to send Gifty home as she stood up for Gifty after her sing off but didn't stand up for 4oD and also she said such nice things about Gifty, nothing nice about 4oD but still sent her home! It looked like she didn't want to send her home. Oh and that random jukebox ramonly landing in girlband week the week 4oD are saved again?! Fix Factor |

There's a big difference between something being 'fixed' and producers manipulating the way the audience vote/who goes.
The telephone vote is totally legit of course. So it's all how the producers react to that.
I've been to quite a few recordings of the shows as I've known people involved on the tech side. There are producers whispering in Simon's ear every time the camera isn't on him. I actually think it's quite impressive how they're able to control things.
Anyone auditioning/talent spotted to appear on the show knows exactly what they're letting themselves into so I don't feel too sorry for them.

I'd just like to make it VERY clear here. This Ryan on 'The Z Factor' is a fake Ryan. An imposter. A pettifoger. A four-flusher. A pretender.
There is only one Ryan. And he's here. Posting a load of camp old nonsense about London's glitzy West End and receiving several restraining orders per fortnight from some of the West End's most attractive leading men.
Let's not confuse the two.
