I'm not holding out much hope tbh (lol!) but I am looking for any information about a song called 'Where Love Resides' written by Jimmy Webb and recorded by Patti LuPone. I cannot find any information about it online - which is a great mystery. It's like the song doesn't exist; it is not even listed on Jimmy Webb's song page. Is it from a musical? I would love the piano music for it, but cannot see it listed anywhere. It is a beautiful song, but it seems unheard of that I cannot find any information about it anywhere. Maybe it has an alternative title? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks.

Did some google-ing for you and all I can find is that the song was a part of Patti Lupone's album 'Matters of the Heart'. Perhaps it was written for the album?

She recorded it on her Matters of The Heart CD (not a favourite of mine so I sold my copy a while back) but from a quick bit of research, I think the song was composed for a film... The name of the film that keeps coming up is How To Make An American Quilt. I've never heard of it... Jimmy Webb has written a book, Tunesmith: Inside The Art Of Songwriting, in which he states that the producers of the film made him alter his syntax of the title of this particular song. Edit: there is a CD of the film featuring the song (Amazon) although I doubt if it Patti's version. Not a lot to help here with sheet music but there you go!
