It's been a while since Brie Larson did theatre so it'll be interesting to see her on stage. Greek Tragedy are really in vogue with two Oedipuses and now an Elektra. Oedipi Oedipussy?

There is a presale doing the rounds, tickets go on sale a day before ATG (I don’t have the link to hand, it popped up on my Instagram/Facebook earlier)

Odipodes, if you're fancy. I love Brie so I'm excited for this. Might also brace myself for Brighton in January. There's always chips on the front to warm up, if the seagulls don't get there first.

Almost no queue for ATG+ at 9am. The now usual error message about it taking too long and advised to call. I called but before I got through to someone switching payment to Apple Pay went through immediately so all confirmed.
Here is a Sat night in Feb after press night

This is Brie Larson
Not Beyoncé Knowles
I suspect the offers will be flowing near the time

I'd quite like to see this, but not for the prices at the moment. I'm going to hold fire and hope for offers later on.

No queue, straight through on the pre-sale. Briefly considered the £25 upper circle tickets but can’t justify it to myself. Will get a day ticket at the time.

No queue now either, straight through and plenty of tickets available for every date I tried. Prices not as bad as I thought to be fair, compared to other shows. Just questioning if I actually want to see it or not!

Got second row stalls for the final night of the run in Brighton, sure the bracing January sea breeze will focus my thoughts.

It's greek tragedy, its not gonna sell out.
You could get in to Amy Adams Glass Menag for very little money on the day, so this'll be the same.

I was thinking of booking this in Brighton as an excuse for a weekend trip to the coast... but I was at a conference last night and there was nothing on the hotel TV but some superhero film with Brie Larson and it kind of put me off.
Granted it was just some generic Marvel slop so I doubt she was giving it her all or anything but she was still like cardboard.

Casting directors, agents and producers that are keeping Patrick Vaill employed in the UK are doing the Lord's work. 🙏

As a work, it's a little overwrought for my genteel ways. 11 weeks at the Duke of Yorks ... I see this is an Empire Street production (following on from Slave Play). They do seem to have their own recipe. It won’t be short of promo. Fwiw, they are saying 20 seats a day will be PWYC – sign up: elektraplay.com/pay-what-you-can/

Glad to see they haven’t just hired whatever local actors were available to fill the cast like some other productions starring American talent have (here’s looking at you, The Tempest 😝)
