Anyone from here going on Sunday? My first time attending this event so would be good to get an idea of what sort of format to expect, what time it goes on until, etc.

Last time i went it was at the theatre in the Swiss Centre in Leicester Square which isnt even there now. It was a great afternoon but I'm sure it's totally different format these days.

A really incredible afternoon seeing 12 of the most promising musical theatre students in Britain competing for the SSSSPOTY title at the most appropriate of West End theatres, the Sondheim.
It really was an afternoon celebrating Sondheim’s body of work, hosted by the effervescent Bonnie Langford, with musical direction from Nigel Lilley - as the rules of the competition stipulate, all competitors may only perform with Lilley’s piano accompaniment.
I have no idea how the judging panel - including Callum Scott Howells, Jenna Russell and Jak Malone - were able to choose a single winner of this year’s prize but RAM’s Madeleine Morgan was a worthy front runner. Her beautiful rendition of ‘Moments in the Woods’ has me buzzing to see her in RAM’s production of Into The Woods later this summer!
I have a feeling this is going to become a new annual event in my calendar…
