You guys misunderstand me - the derided ‘pen pushers’ are always middle management. Who are the people actually facilitating the work. The people riding the gravy train are at higher levels of consultancy and management, who never get their jobs cut and faff about with pointless reorganisations that they claim will solve all the problems while actually creating a lot of work to no good end.

My gripe is about the amount and remuneration of senior managers not those in the middle management level who are likely earning average wage type money. I work in the public sector and the amount of money wasted and jobs created to do nothing is amazing. I'm very much do "what it says on the tin", look after staff and not do these fancy projects. Get the basics right.
Anyway back to the scandal will anyone be held responsible?

I’ve followed Parsleys reading advice and am appalled at both my own ignorance and the complex web of abuse surrounding this story. My heart goes out to all involved.
