Starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, directed by Kenny Leon. No mention of which theatre it will be on at on its Instagram page (search for othellobway) which has gone live today but unless tickets are eye wateringly expensive, I might go for this next year: I saw Gyllenhaal in Sea Wall/A Life back in 2019, unfortunately I never got to see Washington’s Julius Caesar.

Yeah, tickets are going to be eye wateringly expensive. And sold out instantly I suspect.

Performances start on February 24th at the Barrymore Theatre, tickets on sale next week. I’ve got either things lined up in March and April next year so doubt I will make it to this but good luck getting good tickets at a not too eye watering price if you decide to go.

Had a look at the Amex presale just now and died a little inside. I haven't been to New York for a long time, but insane how expensive it has become. I saw Lobby Hero on the front row for $149 in 2018. Cheapest stalls seat for Othello I've seen is $196 for the very back row corner. Anything central and/or front stalls is $400-600. 😭

Unless you just have to go on a certain day, it might be worth having a look around and seeing what is on offer.

Thanks for the heads up! Agree that's not too bad considering the rest of the stalls.

Thank you, that's a good point maybe it's the Amex presale, but it did look like the majority of the theatre was on sale. Will have a look at this 'fan' presale today and then public booking to see if anything else surfaces!

Just had a look at ticket prices: fifth row stalls on a Friday night, $821.00. For those prices I want Gylenhaal to show me where I’m sitting and Washington to bring out refreshments at the interval 🤣
