Nice obituary in the Times.
Didn't realise she was in Zeigfeld at the London Palladium which was a big flop. It was a bizarre musical.

I saw her on stage a fair few times and a load of her TV work but realised I'd never seen her in a musical live. Ironic her last stage role was as Stanley Baldwin as she'd have been the perfect actress to have taken on more gender blind/reversal characters in her younger days with her tall selender build especially some of the Shakesperian roles.
Also she never got a gong in any of the honours lists despite having a very successful career and getting lots of acting awards or nominations. Some of the acting dames don't have resumes better than Hadyn had.
