Really cute film. And I’m not sure if was something in my wine but I found the dialogue genuinely very witty and funny. Great to have this sort of film, must read the book now.

I tried this but after about fifteen minutes it seemed so naff and forced. Certainly not naturalistic. Maybe I should give it another go.

Okay I succumbed and gave it another shot. I was kind of won over by the end

Loved this. One of the few gay movies I thought was actually really good. The first 10 mins are quite cringe, not helped by the American view of Britain and the Royal family that makes it feel like a hallmark movie. Plus the clear anti royal bias.
But once the story really begins the characters are really endearing, fantastic chemistry between the leads, and it's genuinely laugh out loud funny in parts. There are some great one liners, and as it moves on it gets more moving with some really touching scenes.
A great romantic comedy that just happens to be about two men.
After this and Heartstopper, there is hope for future tv and movies.

I really enjoyed watching this last night. It was super cheesy (in the best sense!) and I agree that there were some fun, laugh out loud lines. At times it did look a bit cheap, like made for TV films tend to do. The two leads were great - I've previously seen Nicholas Galitzine, who played Prince Henry, in a film called Handsome Devil alongside Andrew Scott and can highly recommend that. I think it's available on Disney+

Was a bit late to this but yes enjoyed this a lot.
Utterly ridiculous, the Anerican politics are just as nonsense as anything else, but some sharp dialogue, great turns by the supporting cast and the off the charts chemistry between the leads made it hugely watchable.
I liked that the sex and conversation around it managed to be a mix of surprisingly risqué and intensely romantic.
Though both the leads are great, Nicholas Galatzine stood out in particular and deserves to go onto bigger and better things.

I thought this was very sweet.
Particularly enjoyed the President's assistant and her snappy lines.
It was formulaic, of course, but stylish and with plenty of charm.

Ahhhh if Stephen Fry were our king and to have Sharon D Clarke as our PM; that would solve the country’s problems! I’d definitely vote for Sharon for sure!
