Surely the answer to that depends on your preference.
I do respect Derek Jacobi but there are so many ways to get affordable tickets, it doesn't just have to be top priced ones.

The only issue is that could the theatre we know and love exist if some people didn't pay the really top prices? I very rarely pay over £30 for a show - but would it be viable if all tickets were that price? |

You could apply the same question to concerts or sports events, both can be just as if not more expensive than theatre but nobody seems to say are they are worth it.
