Lin has confirmed on Twitter that they have censored 2 F-bombs in the show to meet the PG-13 rating From Lin’s Twitter 1. In Yorktown, there's a mute over "I get the f___ back up again" 2. "Southern *record scratch*kin' Democratic Republicans." Aside from those there is no other censorship If they've done that then I struggle to understand how they've managed to avoid censoring the opening number the way it is censored for radio, but better if they haven't! What needs censoring in the opening number?

What needs censoring in the opening number? I'm assuming its the opening line. Lin explained on Twitter that any more than 1 f**k is an automatic R rating so they've had to censor two of them but everything else is compliant.

What needs censoring in the opening number? I didn't say anything needs censoring, I just pointed out that it is censored for radio. The first two lines both have certain words muted.

Shame about ‘Yorktown’ as I think of that as having the most effective of the three f-bombs, what with Hercules Mulligan getting the f*ck back up again. So exciting and I worry that muting it might dampen it’s spirit.

Well this socially distanced "Helpless" is nicely done. Great use of ever-changing video visuals.

It's great - clever visuals and fab vocals. Also, the home instruments! That song is going to be stuck in my head now!

A silver lining of the pandemic is not having to endure social outings with friends or family this weekend where they share their opinions or reenact their favorite lines and scenes from Hamilton ... ad nauseum.
Their text messages won't be nearly as insufferable.

I'm watching the pro shot now - really enjoying it so far but I find Lin's A.H. rather unbearable if I'm honest.

Agree fully. For us that was about as perfect a filming as could be hoped: a real treat. And loved the scoring and visuals in the credits: so stylish.

Obviously the material is excellent but the cinematography and editing is astounding. Like someone took weeks studying every aspect of the show to put the emphasis in the right place at exactly the right time. Such an achievement.

Is it wrong that I don't think this cast is a patch on the UK cast *shrug

An absolutely fantastic recording of the musical and I’m just glad I decided to invest in getting the Disney+ year pass this afternoon. It’s certainly going to get a lot of rewatches over the coming weeks. With so much going on with performances, choreography and lighting it will give me a great opportunity to focus on the different aspects that make up this great show. I would love to see what the streaming numbers are for this over the weekend (if you include tonight as well), no doubt they are going to be huge.

Loving it. But how much does Groff expel saliva?! I never realised from the cast recording that he actually plays George as mad - psychotic mad - he’s actually rather disturbing! The West End George was played more for laughs and less for menace.

Im at 'intermission'
Really appreciate the minimum use of audience reaction and applause. The camerwork is fantastic and the use of close ups and shots from various different angles and areas is very well thought out. Love the 'Helpless/Satisfied' section. The staging is so good and really tells the story well. 'Wait for It' is probably still my favourite number in the show. Christopher Jackson is hot.

Is it wrong that I don't think this cast is a patch on the UK cast *shrug I thought the same. Surprised how differently some of the roles were played. But it's also that thing where you so often prefer the first cast you've seen. The film is very well done and it's nice to see the close-ups with facial impressions. Interesting to see what parts the audience react to, compared to the UK crowds. Strange seeing the Disney branding. But this is getting a huge amount of social media buzz, as well it should.

Tbfl - totally agree with all your comments.
This show moves me to tears. So much so there’s various bits I can’t watch or listen too. 7 times seen in London, so happy to see the OBC.
I think Thomas Kail directed specifically for the filming as well as the show, has his hallmarks all over it. And the overhead shots are a treat.
And finally the play out too.
This show is as close to a religion for me.
