(but, then, would anyone sane want to see my passport photo anyway?). I would have thought most people would like monkey photos ;-)

I think I’ve finally done myself an injury watching Hamilton. I must have clapped so hard after One Last Time that I’ve bruised my hands!
Sifiso on as Hamilton tonight but otherwise all main players. It really was the Tarrin Callender show tonight however. He was just on fire with his expressions throughout and had everyone laughing. Lots of tears too - never seen Giles not be able to make it through a couple of lines at the end of The World Was Wide Enough due to emotion.
Jon-Scott Clark (beardy Swing) did step forward at the end for some extra applause, then the rest of the guys jumped on him as they were all exiting the stage. Really wish I could be there on Saturday.

I'm very jealous of my friend. He booked for the show on Saturday without knowing that it was cast change. I wish I could be in the room that day!

Giles Terera's disregard for the demands of the role for which he won an Olivier really is quite something. Why did he accept the part if he was going to appear in it so irregularly? (I know virtually no one who has seen the show who has ACTUALLY seen him in it)

I've seen the show three times and Giles was there every time.
I'm having a déja vu.

Maybe take it up with the company manager/producer if you really have a problem with it. 🙄

Are you saying that a person with a possible hidden disability shouldn't get the job he is qualified to perform? Are you aware of his contract details? Are you sure wording it like that is ok? Just asking.

I've seen Hamilton in London just once and Giles was playing Burr that evening - and doing a terrific job.
It may be the luck of the draw. I've twice booked for 42nd Street to see Ashley Day and twice he's been out. I adore Danielle Steers in Bat and yet she's been out three times of the seven times I've seen the show since it opened in April. Still I wouldn't think either of them has a "disregard" for the role they play, I've just been unlucky.

(I know virtually no one who has seen the show who has ACTUALLY seen him in it) I've seen him 2 times out of 5, which is good enough for me - I like seeing different interpretations of roles! I've also tried to see Samantha Barks in 3 different shows and failed each time, so I think it's certainly just luck of the draw...

I failed to see Beverley Knight in The Bodyguard twice but managed 2/2 for Memphis. Saw Sheena Easton only once in 42nd Street out of 4 tries. I remember being disappointed not seeing Richard Madden for Romeo and Juliet too, but I don’t think he could have saved that production either way.

Miriam as Angelica and Christine as Eliza tonight (so presumably Courtney Mae Briggs as Peggy/Mariah) - wish I could be there for that show!

Oh poor Giles. Let's hope he never does a show with Jonathan Pryce.

Sounds like it’s not worth trying to get an elusive ticket before cast change then, as there’s likely to be a few leads off every day, even this week?

Not sure why Jamael (who hasn’t been on yet this week) or Giles were off, but this was a scheduled ‘one-off’ Eliza show for Christine (assuming they were giving her another go before she leaves) - Rachelle should be back from tomorrow, and I imagine the others will also be doing all they can to be on.

They were collecting for MadTrust and World AIDS Day tonight, so I got the opportunity to tell Rachel John how wonderful she’s been over the past year on the way out. I will really miss her Angelica.
I’m glad I managed to get along to a show this week, to see the cast members who were off on my last visit once more. I still can’t comprehend how Obioma didn’t get an Olivier nomination - he is phenomenal. I’m almost glad I won’t be there to witness his final One Last Time, it was already far too emotional for me tonight! I’m also really pleased I was able to see Christine as Eliza - a beautiful performance all-round.

My next visit will be for the new cast in 3 weeks time. I will try the lottery for this Saturday though, but then again I've tried hundreds of times and never won.

Finally got to see this - I wanted to see it because of the hype and out of gratitude to Giles Terera (who was on and who was superb). I'm more plays than musicals but this is indeed a very clever musical, well conceived and performed.
Hate the ticketing and not keen on rowdy audiences who treat the theatre like a concert-hall but enjoyed the show.

Obioma’s is a performance that will be hard to beat, and I’m really worried that Doms take on it won’t be as uplifting and his OLT not as mind-blowing. Roll on Dec 27th when I get to find out.

Ah I didn't realise it was cast change. Guess I missed my chance to see the Original Cast. Kinda sad, but least now the pressure to rush there is off.

Maybe everyone in the theatre spontaneously combusted after One Last Time.
Going on Monday now and trawling Dom Hartley-Harris videos on YouTube. I think the role is in good hands.
