Best play of the year so far. Deservedly getting some fantastic five star reviews. Short sharp, funny and deeply moving. A rom-com with a serious heart it's not to be missed. Loved it.

Surprised this isn’t getting more discussion on here! Out of my 70+ theatre trips so far this year this has to be in my top 5. This is absolutely fantastic! The writing is top notch, and the performances were captivating. This is equal parts funny, educational and thrilling. I loved every second and had tears streaming down my
Face when I shot to my feet at the end (along with the entire audience).

Well this was excellent. 1h and 30 minutes flew by, with tears on my eyes almost all the way through- and really cheap with the count me in ticket, which put me in front row my favourite place to be (and got chosen at the end, was the first to be asked for my name lol!)- has been a while since I have left the theatre having been truly immersed in a story and swept away by emotions. Loved, loved it.

So I'd been dragging my feet on seeing this -- I guess I'm generally allergic to two-handers (even though some of my favorite evenings at the theater have been two-handers, like CONSTELLATIONS and GRUESOME PLAYGROUND INJURIES. What can I say? I'm a complicated person). So: this proves yet again that my aversion was misguided: this was engaging, moving, and terrifically written. And the ending--which I won't spoil--caught me off-guard in the best possible way. The rotating set meant that there's not a bad seat, and the acting and direction were of extremely high caliber. It's extended by a week, so if you were on the fence--as I was--there's really no excuse not to go.

I too am usually no fan of the two-hander but this was just fantastic. From the outset you’re swept up in the lives of these two very different men and for 90 minutes it just doesn’t let go of your emotions which, because it is so well written, fluctuate wildly throughout the evening.
Waleed Akhtar is a major talent (not just as playwright but also actor) and Esh Alladi gives at times a heart-breaking performance. It is simply, but so effectively staged.
One of the absolute highlights of the many things I have seen this year and I urge anyone to see it before it closes.

Although its finished now, loved this show. Sharp writing, well acted, and real connection as the story progressed and the characters got to know each other, moving without being sentimental. Lovely venue too. 9.5/10.
