Absorbing play by Ben Brown doing what it says on the tin - examining the relationships Larkin had with three women. The original production at the Stephen Joseph Theatre three years ago won the TMA
Used the small space at the Old Red Lion very well, dividing it into Larkin's librarian's office at Hull University and his apartment(s) and other locations, furnishing it tastefully in a style neutral enough to pass from the sixties through to the eighties.
Well written, humour and pathos blended into the narrative, anyone with even a passing interest in Larkin should go and see this and it stands up as a play even if you know nothing about him.
