I feel like this thread is needed seeing as it will be a separate production from the now permanent Arts Theatre version.
Casting was meant to be announced mid August. I suppose they’re waiting to get the all clear from the producers to announce as I know it has been cast.
A lot of people on Twitter seem to be speculating that Lauren Drew and Jodie Steele will be in the cast.
Shekinah McFarlane is a shoo-in for Cleves I feel, seeing as she’s on such a short contract in the London production.

The announcement of Lauren Drew and Jodie Steele will certainly up ticket sales a bit, them having both been in Heathers together last year.

I was in two minds booking to see the tour because the nearest stop to me is Southampton and it takes me just as long to get into London so it didn't feel worth the journey for something still on in the West End.
I've changed my mind and booked to see Jodie Steele now though. I wasn't even that into Heathers and her casting still swayed me!

Thrilled they've added Sheffield to this as I couldn't get tickets when we were in London a couple of weeks ago.

I see they've quietly added some extra tour dates. Leeds definitely wasn't featured before but it's been listed for June on the Six website.

I noticed last night they've added Chichester too, tickets go on sale next week. Clearly I shouldn't have given in and booked Southampton afterall now they've done what I was waiting for and announced something closer to home!! Oh well they're 6 months apart, I'll just have to go to both

Extra week added at The Lowry including a singalong performance on Friday 10th January. The new set of dates are in the Lyric Theatre.

They seem to have finally added Brighton to the tour.
Is it normal to quietly add so many extra dates so far after the rest of them? It's not like they were waiting for Theatre Royal to announce the new season or something because both ETAJ and Once are there afterwards and were announced months ago.
So annoying, I really wish I'd not bothered booking Southampton now. I held out ages for something nearer and gave up and now they've finally announced two much closer to home!

I feel like I got quite lucky in that respect. If they had announced Newcastle before Glasgow and Edinburgh I would’ve easily gone there. I just had a feeling that they would return to Scotland following the popularity of the last tour so I’m glad I waited.

Any sign/rumours of this coming to more Scots venues like Aberdeen? Or just Glasgow/Edinburgh?

Aberdeen could be a possibility, and perhaps Inverness.

Am I watching a different musical?

ANYWAY, I loved the tour megasix. I didn't know anything of any of the cast before this (I hardly ever watch musicals) except Shekinah because of the west end cast, but Lauren Seymour was hilarious on the instagram live yesterday. And I love that there's a Welsh Queen.

I still can't get over the 'butch' description. What does it even mean?

I still can't get over the 'butch' description. What does it even mean? You okay? I think they mean that none of the Queens are girly pretty or sweetly singing a drippy ballad....like in a 1950’s musical. No victims here.

The tour cast (with Natalie May Paris stepping in for Lauren Byrne) performed at the Teaching Awards last weekend, which was shown on BBC Two as ‘Britain’s Classroom Heroes’ this evening
