First vid response is warranted, it's a bit invasive and definitely meant to jab at something... like if someone asked that to you, what would you even say? That "people think I'm annoying? Untalented? loud? etc.." you can't respond to that in a good light haha

I find it so funny how Cynthia goes out of her way to be offended at every little comment. It's embarrassing frankly. She has a role all musical theatre actresses would kill for yet she goes around with this holier than thou attitude.

I think a lot of the difference in how she’s perceived has to do with how petty most of it is. It isn’t classic diva behaviour, which is normally at least entertaining. It’s just…small.

The clips keep coming. They aired a documentary last night that featured a few different snippet but in particular they showed the entirety of What Is This Feeling www.reddit.com/r/wicked/s/ESewoDK0zy

Its sadly the way things are going to go now. Since the Trump win the "Right Media" are on a seak and destroy for anything they see as potential "Left Wing Propaganda". Look at Fox News, since the election they have literally became Snitch News, highlighting and reporting anything they see as a "Left Wing" attack. At the moment they weirdly seem to be putting all their effort in going after The View presenters, it's a little bit creepy. The good thing for Wicked is it is to late for them to have anything effect it.

One thing I've been wondering is, if the songs in the movie were recorded live, what's going on the soundtrack CD? They said they laid down tracks in the sudio before filming, so could there be different vocal choices on the soundtrack?

Defying Gravity - The Curtain Rises on Wicked This documentary " A behind the scenes look at the two part film adaptation of the hit Broadway musical, featuring interviews with cast members Cynthia Eviro, Ariana Grande and Jeff Goldblum" is shown at the same time on Sky Arts and Sky Mix at 8:00 pm (UK) tonight (Saturday 16th November). I can't recall anything being shown on both Sky Channels at the same time before? The film is looking to be more and more overhyped, which is never a good sign.
I will, of course, still rush to see it at the first Meerkat day!

Shows do get simulcast over those 2 channels fairly often, for people as a treat who don’t subscribe to the other channel.

I'm curious to see if the films expand the backstory of the Wizard because he's always been a fascinating character because he was someone who was able to become the ruler of the Emerald City just by using parlour magic. A couple of possible expansions are: Madame Morrible always knowing the Wizard is a fraud but using him as a puppet to gain control of Oz, the other thing is the green elixir that turned Elphaba's skin green, it's never explained in the musical but in the original book it's implied to be absinthe, a type of alcoholic spirit which is usually green, the Wizard being a conman mean he would be able to fool people into believing this 'elixir' was good for them

They’re really ramping up the Oscar campaigning. All these videos showing how “Cynthia performed all her own stunts” yet we’ve seen with the set leaks that she clearly has a stunt double. And how “all singing was done live” yet, again, we’ve seen through set leaks that there’s times where they lip synced.

I have to say, I am fed up to the back teeth with Wicked and it isn't even out yet. I saw the trailer twice in one ad break on TV and there were no less that four ads and featurettes for Wicked before Paddington in Peru. Together with Cynthia's poor attitude, it means I'm at the stage where I don't give a toss about it.

Ariana sounds glorious and I even like the choreography (especially the marching feet). Makes me go right back to wishing they’d refresh the stage version.

Sad, someone needs to go and stage an intervention.

I think there was some misreporting - people weren’t there to queue until Monday, they had to queue to register for a wristband for entry into the fan zone, and then queue again to collect their wristbands. I would imagine most aren’t queuing overnight now they have their fan zone entry guaranteed.

Just watched the documentary, it was really good actually. But I do feel that, with this film and all the promo, that I’ve basically seen the whole film.

Curious why facial hair on university students is noteworthy? Are we trying to suggest they seem too old to be in uni, because a lot of real uni students have facial hair.
