From all of the clips I've seem, it would appear that the spoken dialogue seems to be remaining pretty true to the stage show. It also seems to have no lyric changes to any of the songs, which is actually quite refreshing. The script is the most dated thing about the whole show.

I haven't done my own homework, but am I right assuming there will be new number in there somewhere to go for the Best Original Song Oscar? My understanding is there there will be (at least) two new songs, if not more, that will appear in the second film.

According to the soundtrack there are no new songs for the first film. Which is surprising as they can’t go for Original Song but also good to see they’re not just going to shoehorn something into the movie just for an awards play. Looking at you Les Mis. But it’s been reported that there are 2 new numbers for the second film which makes sense as there would only be 7 songs otherwise.

Please don't quote me on this but my understanding is that the two new songs, one is a solo for Elphabah and the second, also a solo, for Glinda.

There’s one of Dancing Through Life floating around as well. Thank you for all your posts, but why not post it here as well? Is it against the law?

For anyone who is interested, the Las Culturistas podcast hosted by Matt Rogers and Bowen Yang (Pfannee in the movie) are doing some very Wicked centric episodes for the next three weeks. Having Ariana, Cynthia and Jonathan as consecutive guests each week. The audio eps drop on Wednesdays and video usually follows within the next couple of days on YouTube!

Lots more merchandise beginning to appear now. M&S have a lot, and I saw some rather snazzy pyjamas in Tesco.

At Vue Manchester there are 14 performances per day starting at 8am 😧
What does it mean when it says “Laser” next to some of the showings?

Although some of us may not travel by bubble, it is getting ever so closer, right? #excited

How is everyone doing it? IMAX or regular screen? Just a regular screen for first viewing as it’s what works best timing wise. But hope to go back and see it again in IMAX or Dolby

How is everyone doing it? IMAX or regular screen? Superscreen 2D first then either IMAX or 4DX. I just want to sit and enjoy the film without any of the risks of the gimmicky screens. My husband and I are eating at Six By Nico before the film as they’re doing a six course Oz inspired menu! Making a whole day of it.

So is the UK the only one not to have an early screening the general public can't get tickets for?
I know the UK Premier is the 18th, but what that, 4 days early, totally pointless, where's the online bragging rights in that lol.
Bloody thing was filmed here as well! Dam Australians getting to see it 3 weeks before us!

Well, as an Australian, from Sydney, I felt very proud from the clips that I've seen on Twitter of the premiere
